Director Alston Beinhorn on his trusty steed Leroy
San Ysidro Polo is a polo horse breeding, raising, training, and selling operation started by Alston Beinhorn. Over the past 35 years Alston has played polo all over the world up to the 20-goal level. This breeding and training program is his passion. He is motivated by the process of making top playing ponies, and by breeding the best medium and high-goal polo mares, primarily to his well-proven home-bred polo stud Chilo.
San Ysidro Polo hired Trainer and Manager Tiamo Hudspeth through Team USPA in 2015. Alston and Tiamo felt that their dreams of raising and making top American polo ponies were in line and together they could accomplish those goals, so they set off to do so. The once dream is now a reality with San Ysidro headquarters in the Houston Polo area and a steady 30 horses on the farm. San Ysidro is a wonderful combination of bloodlines, visionary, and talent.
