Ginger

Ginger is 2002 Argentine thoroughbred mare that has had quite a journey. Tiamo knew the mare from when she worked at A-F Pony Farm where she was purchased by Cody Woodfin who saw something special in the mare. At this time she was very underweight and had been labelled “crazy” and '“mean” by her previous owners. She had a fire we couldn’t resist and Cody believed the mare had just been misunderstood. They took her in to the A-F barn and with some TLC there quickly started to shine in that barn all the way to the top of the string. She had incredible handle, and speed. They eventually sold her to Taylor Freeman who played the mare for years and again she was a top horse in his string. She received multiple BPP awards under Cody, Taylor, and Jared Sheldon. Taylor knew Ginger was dear to Tiamo’s heart and offered her to the SY Breeding program. We gladly took her in and are so excited to see the kind of foals she will throw. This mare is extremely durable, sound, and has the biggest heart. She is a great size for polo coming in just under 15hh. She is compact, good hooves and bone, very catty, and has good speed.
